Assumption Summer Day Camp 2008 - 9 am til 3 pm

![]() | We are looking forward to another great summer with your children. We have a multitude of activities planned, including arts and crafts, group games, and sporting events. Weekly themes are outlined below. Regular Day Camp is offered weekly from June 9th through August 1st. Day Camp is also available the week after school dismisses, June 2-6, and the week before school, August 4th - 8th. This is our What's S.U.P. Camp. Sport camps, specializing in developing athletic skills, are offered four weeks of the summer from 9 am - Noon. June 9-13: Blast off into the summer with “A Blast from the Past”
We will start with a trip back to the 50s with poodle skirts and leather jackets and then blast to the 70s with tie-dying and rock-n-roll. We will end the week with a Disco fever and sock hop party. It’s going to be dy-no-mite!!!!
June 16-20: Wacky Sports Fan
No Couch Potatoes!!! You will be moving and learning new ways to play your favorite sports! So if you are up to a new challenge, join us on the starting line for a wacky good time playing ding dong baseball, Australian kickball, scooter basketball, Cricket soccer, and wacky relays!!
June 23-27: Art on Fire
Have you ever painted blind folded or with your feet? Drawing, painting, sculpting - what is your favorite? During this week you will have an opportunity to create masterpieces in a variety of creative ways. We will end the week with an art show.
June 31- July 3: Happy Holidays
Did you miss your favorite holiday? We will make cards for the troops in Iraq and have our own Mardi Gras parade and costume contest.
July 7-11: Be a Hero
This week will be filled with lots of visitors from the police department, fire department and the military. We will investigate their jobs.
July 14-18: Lights Camera Action
Do you like American Idol? So you think you can dance like High School Musical. Then you are going to enjoy this week filled with acting, dancing, magic, comedy, and puppet theater. The session finale will be a talent show: planned, hosted, and performed by the campers. There will be plenty to do for everyone, whether your child wants to take the stage or be behind the scenes.
July 21-25: Super Soakin Safari
Campers will spend a full week enjoying an awesome array of water activities including water bucket brigade, water balloon toss, rubber ducky races, wacky and wild relays, and many other events guaranteed to leave you cool and wet.
July 28-Aug. 1: Summer Olympics- One World One Nation Beijing China
The campers will plan and participate in their own Olympic games while learning all about the Olympic history and spirit. We will even have our very own Parade of Nations.
