Admissions
Admission is open to any student regardless of race, creed, national or ethnic origin, who meets the school’s criteria for admission. We encourage you to call the school and schedule a visit.
With a desire to maintain optimal class size, all students who apply may not be admitted. In addition, since the school is a parish school, children of parish members are generally accepted first.
Re-registration for currently enrolled students is completed in early January. Available space for new students is based on the number of students who do not re-register.
You may pick up a Student Enrollment Form at the office or download one here. Students who are transferring to Assumption for grades one through seven must provide copies of all previous school records as well as standardized test results. In addition, students will be screened to assess current academic ability and/or to assist with class placement. All new Kindergarten students will be screened to determine readiness.
Based on space available, new students are accepted in the following order:
- Siblings of those already enrolled
- Children of active Assumption Parish families
- Other Catholic families
- All other applicants
