The 2011-2012 school year will be the seventh year Assumption Catholic School has been a Voluntary Prekindergarten
(VPK) provider for four-year-old children. VPK was a state constitutional amendment passed by
Florida voters in 2002. The state of Florida will issue a certificate of eligibility to families residing in Florida
with a child who will be 4 years old on or before September 1st. VPK will pay for 540 hours of instruction in
our preākindergarten program which is 135 days of our 175 day school year.
If parents want their child to attend the full school year (175 days) with the modified day or full day program,
the VPK funding amount will be subtracted from the tuition cost listed here.
In mid February 2011, parents will
receive an invoice showing the total due. That amount can be paid monthly through FACTS which is the
automatic bank debit system or in a lump sum payment prior to June 10, 2011.
****As of January 2011, the state has not released details regarding the funding for the 2011-12 school year.
We will keep you posted.
