Assumption School Tuition Policy
- The in-parish school tuition rate applies to all Catholic students with at least one Catholic parent.
- Families must be registered and attend Mass at Assumption the majority of the Sundays of the year and must use the envelope system, or indicate attendance by check or pew envelope EVERY Sunday.
It should be noted that envelopes dropped in quantity on a given Sunday are recorded as ONE attendance. Persons other than the student or the student’s parent who carry an envelope for someone else risks immediate withdrawal from the school by all parties involved. Envelopes must be given in the Offertory, not mailed or dropped off before Mass or at the rectory.
- New families to Assumption may receive the in-parish rate if they have:
- A letter from their pastor.
- A PDS report showing regular attendance and meeting the suggested donation threshold for school families who already have the in-parish rate.
Otherwise, a six month trial period of non-parish rates applies.
- Duly registered the family and become active.
- A letter from their pastor.
- There is no financial aid for anyone who is not a parish member.
- Attendance is monitored and evaluated quarterly, but adjustments in tuition will be made for the next six months. Those who fall behind in attendance at Mass during the spring, for example, will loose their in-parish rate for the following August-December period. Persons who are ill for any long period should arrange for a priest to visit the home for sacraments.
