As we track COVID positivity rates for Duval county, our diocese is looking for this rate to be 10% or below in order for our faculty, staff, and students to not be required to wear masks. The diocese updates this information each weekend at dosaeducation.org. You can also view data at the Department of Health website - floridahealthcovid.gov. The data will be included here in Tuesday Reminders each week as well.

COVID Updates & Reminders
Masks are required based on the diocesan policy and the county being at 27% positivity. Please email Mrs. Jimenez if you have a valid reason to “opt-out” of this policy. Students are required to wear a mask indoors unless an email or letter is on file with Mrs. Jimenez.
Our 5th-8th grade students will attend school Mass on Tuesdays. Students in K-4th grade will attend one of the weekly 8:00 am parish Masses at this time. We will assess this on a weekly basis and look forward to celebrating Mass as a school community again soon.
Students who have a cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat, etc. should be kept home and monitored. Please contact Mrs. Jimenez for additional guidance. Students sent to school with any such symptoms will be sent home.
During this time, any visitors to the school will be required to wear a mask.
Exposure is defined as being within 6 feet of the person for more than 15 minutes. This contact must occur within 48 hours of the person testing positive and/or developing symptoms. For example, if you interact with a person on Friday and they test positive or develop symptoms on Saturday or Sunday, you are required to quarantine (excluding those who are vaccinated or boosted within 6 months or who have had a documented case of COVID in the last three months). If you interact with a person Friday and they develop symptoms or test positive Monday, you do not have to quarantine. Please contact Mrs. Jimenez for additional guidance.
If your child develops symptoms and/or is exposed as defined, please fill out the COVID Questionnaire and email it to Mrs. Jimenez. She will be in touch with a plan for your child(ren) to return to school.
Potential COVID Symptoms Students should stay home to be monitored for at least a day if they display any of the below symptoms and be sure to refer to page 15 of the Parent/Student Handbook on the Return to School After Absence policy: Cough Fever or chills Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Fatigue Muscle or body aches Headache New loss of taste or smell Sore throat Congestion or runny nose Nausea or vomiting Diarrhea
