The art program emphasizes art process and history, while encouraging students to be creative in their project choices and art media. Students are given opportunities to create art work for the yearbook, particiapte in the Diocesan art show, compete to create the school's annual Christmas card, and every student particiaptes in the school's annual art show as part of Fine Arts Night.
Our media center provides students access to an expansive library where they are able to check out books weekly. Our media specialist reads books to the students in Kindergarten to fifth grade allowing them to complete hands on activities related to the story. In addition, technology is incorporated as students learn to research using Macbook Airs.
Our Spanish curriculum exposes students to Hispanic culture and countries as they speak and experience a new language. Students study vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing as well as dialogue.
Students visit the Tech Shop once a week to learn 21st century digital literacy skills. Classes are taught by an Apple certified educator who encourages cross-curricular engagement and employs a project based learning teaching style.
