Assumption fields nine teams in eight sports and competes against other schools in the Diocese of St. Augustine and Jacksonville. We believe providing an opportunity for athletics is essential to a well-rounded education, and it has become a vital part of our 100-year tradition. Beginning in fourth grade, students can try out for JV and Varsity teams in basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, tennis, soccer, golf, and softball, and all students can participate on the cross-country and track & field teams. Assumption has a strong athletics tradition, often winning diocesan or league championships. Cheering on our Knights is an exciting part of every school year.

While you are here, meet Georgie, our mascot. Like his namesake, St. George, Georgie reminds ACS student-athletes that they are called to be strong, dedicated, and hard-working teammates, as well as honorable, humble, and gracious opponents.
